Also referred to as Coronary Artery Disease (CAD), this condition is caused by the clogging or narrowing of the arteries that supply oxygen and nutrients to the heart. Heart disease can increase your risk of heart attack or stroke. Some of the symptoms of heart disease are:
    • Shortness of breath
    • Irregular heart beat
    • Dizziness or weakness
    • Nausea

    • Heart failure
    • Stroke

  • Type II Diabetes

Diabetes occurs when glucose (sugar) builds up in the body. When you eat food, the body breaks down sugars and starches into glucose, which is fuel for our cells. Insulin is what takes the sugar from the blood to the cells. Untreated diabetes can cause:
    • Heart disease
    • Kidney disease and renal failure
    • Nerve damage

  • Gout

This condition occurs when elevated blood levels of uric acid form tiny crystals in the tissues and joints causing inflammation. It is considered a chronic disease that can lead to joint destruction and decreased kidney function.

  • Obstructive Sleep Apnea

OSA is a serious breathing condition where the soft tissue in the back of your throat relaxes during sleep and blocks the airway causing loud or violent snoring. OSA can also cause patients to stop breathing up to 100 times per night. Sleep apnea is associated with:
    • Daytime sleepiness
